Weekend Update!

Hey everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend!!!

On Friday, my mom had us over for supper and she made this amazing quinoa dinner and as an appetizer she made these spring rolls!

I mean the quinoa was great, but these spring rolls were to die for….I could have eaten ten more.

And the girls got to colour some fun mandalas.

On Saturday, Leah INSISTED I go back to bed, so she could make me breakfast in bed.

She got the idea because Lily brought me “breakfast in bed” that she had made downstairs in their fake kitchen.

So, I went back to bed and soon thereafter, Leah came in with….butter…..well vegetarian, dairy-free butter….and a LITTLE bit of peanut butter and there is toast under all that butter as well.

I ate it, but it was difficult. Haha, so cute.

Sunday was an epic day.

The girls saved up their money to buy an LOL Real Hair Girl.  They are obsessed and were SO excited about their purchase.

Also, I got up and went for a 12 km run.  The girls came with me on their bikes and scooters and after 2km, I dropped them off at my moms and finished up without them.

Then the girls and I and my mom hit up Costco- I want this SO bad for the summer….it would be perfect for the beach!

Then, when we got home I made the girls a yummy lunch and then meal prepped lunches and breakfasts for the week.

I then did the dishes, unloaded the dishwasher, did three loads of laundry and put them away, and prepped the coffee and clothes ready for today.

AND we also managed to go to two parks.  Why two?  Because after twenty minutes at the first one (on Salisbury Road)

Leah had to PEE, so we jumped in the car and took off to Centennial Park were we knew there were bathrooms.  And a totally amazing, new play set.

After that, we came home and made an amazing supper, chicken drumsticks, veggies, and a potato, bacon and onion medley.

It was delicious.

But let’s just say by the end of the day, this was my step count.

And I was ready for bed.

Short week for us, as Matt has a biking race in Montreal this week!

Hope you’re all having a great Monday!

Namaste
