Training + Crazy Kid + Daddy’s Helper + Fish Taco Bowls

Good Wednesday morning everyone!

I can’t believe we are already half way through the week!  Now, if only the rainy weather would go away to cheer everyone up!  It’s interesting how much the weather plays havoc with people’s mood.  Mind included- I know that the weather DRASTICALLY alters my mood.  And with all of the sad things in the news, it’s hard not to get down.

These guys help brighten my mood though! (most days)

They are at such a fun age, and we are really enjoying it.  Seeing them develop a sense of humor, and succeed with things like riding a bike, or learning how to read is the most incredible thing I have ever experienced.

We are really enjoying time as a family and playing games and cards and reading in the evenings.  We played cards last night, and this is how hyper Leah gets after some Easter chocolate.

Check out this insane video (I was hiding it so she wouldn’t know I was filming her, and had to turn the phone upside down, sorry, but it’s still hilarious)

She is hilarious but insane.

Also- who else gets to play cards with the pink Power Ranger?

And Lily is obsessed with being helpful.  She has taught herself how to take Matt’s chair out of the car and place it properly so he can transfer.  Mama’s job keeps getting easier every day!  Check it out here

My girlfriend Becca and her hubby-to-be, Chris gave Matt and I some fish (Chris’ father is a fisherman)

and Matt decided to make Fish Taco Bowls.

They were AMAZING!  So, now, we plan on having Chris and Becca over for this meal at some point!

So, I’ve mentioned that I am training for a ten km run, and testing the waters to see how my ankle fairs, and if all goes well, I’m going to train for a half marathon again.

So, the 10km is on Mother’s Day, which means I don’t have a lot of time.  I’ve been getting up and running instead of going to the gym just to make sure I’m prepared.

It’s an amazing way to start the day, I’m always on such a high afterwards….but then I feel ready for a nap by 8am for some reason, haha.

Fun too, because by 8am I’m usually already at 10,000 steps!  Win!

I’m really excited about this, and where I used to always put pressure on myself to get a certain time in a race, and to RACE it (especially smaller runs like a 5km or a 10km) this time I have NO goals other than to finish and remain uninjured.  So, with the pressure off, I’m not nervous at all and really looking forward to it.

Alright, that’s it for me for today folks.

Have a great hump day!
