HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!!! I know this day can be difficult for some and it’s not a day I really “celebrate” but since having the girls- I do, do something for them.
I usually put a heart up on their door every day for the 14 days leading up to Valentine’s Day. This year, I dropped the ball, so I did five each instead of seven and I did them all on the Eve of VDay.
I also decorated their door and made a trail of hearts on the floor leading to their gifts.
We get them a Valentine’s Day outfit every year:
And this year I got them their very FIRST HARRY POTTER WANDS!!!! Leah was so excited she started yelling Leviosa and running around the house. I was pretty pumped by that reaction. (in this pic, they are both saying Leviosa! #proudmommoment
Lily was more excited about her Polly Pocket. They each got to pick out one thing for each other and she’s been COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS for this toy, so I anticipated that she’d be more excited for that then the wand. I got them Hermione wands- to match my own that I got in London, England.
I got Matt a gag gift. Melissa from Red Earth Kitchen at the market was making these funny gag gifts for Valentine’s Day and I decided to pick one up.
And some hot beef jerky, and some chocolate that comes with unsolicited love advice from old couples. So cute and funny!
Matt surprised me with a gift too! He got me a book on intermittent fasting, which I’m SUPER excited about!!!!
And CANDY! He knows me well!
And Lily made me a Valentine – heart exploded!
Also- Valentine’s throughout the years since the girls were born:
Oh I miss those cheeks!!!
Hope you all have a great day. Treat yourself in some way, whether it’s a hot bath, or some candy!
