IF Recap + Colouring + Boss Lady + Poems

Happy Thursday in the week that seems to never want to end! (I woke up thinking it was Friday…..)

So, yesterday’s post!  I’m SO happy I posted about my experiences with Intermittent Fasting, as I have received SOOOOOO many responses either asking about it or giving me advice/sharing experiences.  It was great as I LOVE hearing all sides and getting as much information as I can.

I’m really enjoying it so far!  Started my day off with this DELICIOUS, FULL cup of bulletproof coffee.

And then didn’t have anything until 11:30 (I try to aim for 10:30, but it was a BUSY day, so I didn’t get a chance to eat until 11:30, but didn’t really think about it much either)

I then had my overnight protein oats- forgot to take a picture.

And am now enjoying my tofu/brussel sprouts/onion and rice.  Yum!

I will be done eating by 7:30 tonight.  Will keep you posted.  So far, so good.  Haven’t been overly hungry, and have felt like I have more energy than I could have dreamed of in the morning.

Got home from the gym this morning to the girls colouring in their new (Christmas new) meditative books.  These books are so cool as they come with their own markers, and have three different kinds, like gel, fine point and regular point.  It closes with a magnet, and the girls love them as they feel grown up and it’s a nice way to ensure they don’t lose their markers.

Leah has been working on this piece for a few weeks now, and is really proud of how it turned out.  I would be too, it looks amazing!

Then they got dressed, and she decided to wear the hoodie I got her for Christmas.  Go Highlanders! #BMHSPRIDE

And random- last night she was obsessed with Amelia Earhardt and was flying her miniature plane (that I got her from the airport in Paris).  She says she wants to be a pilot and insisted we read the book.  HOWEVER, she wanted to read it TO us, and hold the book like a teacher.  Haha, we either have a future teacher on our hands, or someone who needs to be in control/the boss.

Also random,  I went to get my hair done last week (went darker with lowlights! and LOVING it!)  And my hairdresser had this calendar.  I LOVE spoken word poetry and have this trilogy by R. H. Sin and also enjoy his wife’s writings, Samantha King Holmes, as well as Rupi Kaur’s work.  So, I wanted it for my desk and ordered it.

It just arrived today, and fittingly, this is the first poem I’ve started with.
