Hi there! Hope you are all having a fabulous Tuesday this SHORT week! (for most of us)
We had a great weekend, mostly because we had NOTHING planned but family stuff and it was fabulous.
Friday, I had PTI in the morning and PD in the afternoon, and then an orthotics right after school. However, I’m dumb and didn’t realize that in order to get your orthotics to fit….you need to bring your SHOES. All I had were my little flats I had worn at work *face palm! So, Matt’s co-worker was gracious enough to send me on my way agreeing to meet me at 9:30 in the morning before his gym session.
So, I headed home and while Matt biked, the girls and I did puzzles, puzzles, puzzles. They are obsessed, and I LOVE it as I love doing puzzles!
And then jumped on the couch to cuddle
And watch Moana.
Ps- I don’t know why some of my photos are coming up so blurry….sorry…
Then Saturday we were up early and out the door to go back to orthotics. Where the girls had fun trying out the fun machines they have at Matt’s work- Tango Medical.
And I got my orthotics fit for me blundstones and my sneakers, the two pairs of shoes I wear the most. He says these will heal my Achilles tendinitis and I am so, so excited about that!
And afterwards, the girls had a bowling birthday party to go to. Matt dropped them off and I got to meet my best girls- Camp Centennial gals, for lunch at Pur and Simple.
And I got to cuddle with Ollie, so that’s always fun!
That evening we did individual dates. My mom took Lily for the night and Matt and I had Leah.
Well, they were SOME excited for this!
We made hot chocolate with marshmallows and turned our couch into a bed (we have an ottoman that fits into the L shape of our couch and makes it a huge space, like a king sized bed.)
And we cuddled the tree of us.
As we watched Elf!
And then we all slept in our bed together. This is the first time EVER that one of the girls has slept in our bed, we just never had it happen and they have never asked. But she was BEYOND excited for this and she did really well, slept until seven even though she was in our space and wanted to chat, haha.
Then in the morning, daddy slept in and Leah and I drew on the big couch
And you guessed it, did puzzles.
Lily had a great time as well, they had treats, a special restaurant supper and watched a movie.
Lily was tired and ASKED to go to bed, haha, and then in the morning her and my mom made these homemade cookies, from scratch, and Lily did EVERYTHING, except measure the baking soda/powder. She was pretty proud and pretty excited to bring some for Leah.
Leah and I headed over there and had lunch with her and my mom before heading home to clean in preparation for Christmas decorations.
Sunday- we decorated. Yep, that’s right, we decorated. It was after Remembrance day and we had the time and the next few weekends are insane, so we did it.
And the girls were SO excited to decorate the tree. Our tree is not a pretty, themed tree. It is bright and colourful and obnoxious and we love it. The girls have gotten a special ornament every year for Christmas and I have gotten the same thing from my parents and my nanny every year since birth. Matt has a few, haha, so our tree has special nostalgia with each ornament we hang.
And put up the village. It was great! Again, this is my mom’s village, and so there are many great memories putting this up and the girls love it just as much as I did.
I hope you all had a relaxing weekend as well.
