Weekend Update + Games + Movie Night

Good Monday morning everyone!  The mornings are getting darker and darker with each passing day.  I wake up at 5am to go to the gym and usually it’s bright and clear by the time I get home at 6:40, but today it was PITCH black still…..and foggy which was really neat.

Anyone else super excited for Halloween?  It’s so amazing to be a parent and live vicariously through your children’s excitement for things like this.  They are SO excited to wear their costumes and get CANDY, and therefore I am equally excited!

To get them into the spirit of the holiday, we all cuddled on the couch together Friday night to watch my FAVOURITE Halloween movie- Casper the Friendly Ghost.

My sister and I watched this movie on REPEAT as children.  In fact, we often quote it, and I sent her this picture:

And she texted me back with “Piece of cake, piece of crumbcake” which is what the guys says in this moment.  LOVE it!

Saturday morning we got up at played Candy Land with the girls and then took off for the YMCA for play time in the gym.  I got a workout in while they were downstairs.

They had a birthday party to go to at 1 and I went to the Makers Farmer’s Market at The Arches of St. George.  It was so gorgeous in there, if you haven’t been you should check it out!  I bought a pair of macrame earrings- I will show you later this week.  Then I went to the mall to meet up with a co-worker.  We went to buy matching outfits for twin day at school.  I am so excited for it, but can’t show you until the day of- don’t want to ruin the surprise.

I was so beyond exhausted this weekend, that we hung out at home for the most part and both nights were in bed before 10…..yep….living on the edge!

Sunday, we got up and we were supposed to meet my girlfriend Krystle and Mark at Boo at the Zoo, but the weather wasn’t cooperating so we cancelled.  And the girls and I made this epic fort.

Then they decided to expand their home into the living room….I’m not sure what this is, but they enjoyed it.

Also- Leah put an eye sticker on her forehead, and I thought it was great, she has a third eye in the third eye chakra location!

My mom had us over for supper last night and we had cabbage rolls- delicious!  Plus we played Guess who

And made a puzzle.

Nice way to end the weekend.

Plus, she is dog sitting, so the girls had a great time playing with Emma.

Alright, that’s it for today!  Have a fabulous day!

Namaste
