Scary times over here

Hi guys,

Sorry I went dark yesterday, I really did not mean to, I just didn’t have the opportunity to sit down and do up a blog post.

Tuesday after Lily’s speech therapy, I got home and was about to start doing the final coat of paint on their furniture when I got a call from my mother’s boss.

She told me not to be alarmed but that she had gotten a message from mom that essentially made no sense (she sent it to Sondra and I and it was total gibberish) but she made out that mom basically wasn’t feeling well and was going to take a break.  (Mom is a mortgage specialist but is based out of her house).  I live close by so she called to see if I could check on her because she had tried to call mom and she wasn’t answering.

I rushed to her house and she was napping, but when I woke her up she was out of it and kept repeating things.

She’s been having blood pressure issues lately and so Matt insisted we go right to the ER.  Where we didn’t have to wait AT ALL and they brought us into Acute care.  Where we waited from 12:30-6.  She saw doctors and did tests and then she was admitted into the hospital and has been there ever since.

And my nanny (mom’s mom) had just recently had a heart attack.  I had mentioned that last week.  She was also in the hospital, but while we waited in the ER she was brought to Saint John by ambulance for more tests.

So, it’s been a bit hectic over here.  The girls are in Camp Centennial this week, so thankfully they’ve been busy and are not worried.

And I did manage to get a wonderful visit in with my Dad, and Sondra (well Sondra and I have been together pretty much non-stop at the hospital, which has been nice) at Swiss Chalet.  Basically the only place we have ever eaten as a family my entire life haha.

And also, look at this amazing photo of Matt.  Isn’t it incredible?

And I saw this meme on FB and I am DEFINITELY doing this.  Remember how much I cleaned and purged last week when Matt and the girls were away?  Yeah, well….the house doesn’t look like that anymore….so this is my new solution.  I will keep you posted on whether it works or not.

Alright, I’m off to the hospital soon, but wanted to check in.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Namaste

  1. Praying for your mom… Let us know when she can have visitors! Is she at the Moncton Hospital or George Dumont?
